Fly Tipping

With powers under the Clean Neighbourhood Act 2005 and the Environmental Protection Act 1990, those caught flytipping could face a penalty of 5 years imprisonment or a fine of up to £50,000. Kent County Council has an Environmental Crime Team dedicated to investigating crimes of this nature. The work of this team, along with many other initiatives has resulted in a 35% reduction of flytipping incidences during the past 3 years, one of the campaigns key targets.

Fly-tipping should be reported to Sevenoaks District Council on 01732 227000.
