The Society was formed in 1985 by a small group of enthusiasts anxious to research and preserve the history of their locality. Its area of interest covers the ancient parishes of Eynsford (including Crockenhill), Farningham and Lullingstone, and also Maplescombe. Membership is open to anyone interested in the history of the area – not only those living there. The annual subscription is £10 (£15 for a family, or Life Membership for £100, one person and £150 for a couple).
